Sahabat Insurance conducted a Christmas Charity in Medan

Medan, December 20 2024 – In the spirit of togetherness and compassion, PT Asuransi Sahabat Artha Proteksi (Sahabat Insurance) conducted a visit to Kasih Murni Teladan Medan Orphanage, located on Jalan Jl. Saudara Ujung, as part of this year’s Christmas celebration activities. This event aimed to share joy with the children of the orphanage and foster a sense of care within the community.

During the visit, several employees of Sahabat Insurance brought various essential supplies, such as staple goods, and cash donations. The event also included a prayer session and a warm interaction with the children at the orphanage.

Kasih Murni Teladan Medan Orphanage currently houses 34 children, cared for by dedicated guardians who live with the children. This place serves as a home for children from diverse backgrounds and regions who need support to grow and develop optimally.

Through this event, Sahabat Insurance hopes to continue contributing to creating happiness, especially during special moments like Christmas.

Mangroves has been widely acknowledged for its role as a natural barrier to various environmental risks such as storms, tsunamis, waves, and coastal erosions by becoming the first defense in protecting the coastlines. In addition, this natural barrier also provides a wide range of ecosystem services including fisheries, timber productions, provision of foods, tourism, climate regulation, carbon storage that reduce the coastal communities’ vulnerability to hazards.
As part of the contribution to environmental issues and risk mitigation, PT Asuransi Sahabat Artha Proteksi (Sahabat Insurance) in collaboration with STMA Trisakti implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility / CSR Environment program by planting mangrove trees in the Muara Angke Forest Reserve on July 28, 2024.
This program contribute to a green and resilient recovery in coastal areas, and help Indonesia better mitigate the impact of climate change.

Get acquainted with the Guiding Block!

Some people, especially those living in urban areas, are familiar with the yellow line across the sidewalk, the line is not a decoration but a guiding block for blind pedestrians.

In the language of guiding block, it means the blocks to guide the way. This facility was built as an effort by the government to provide access for blind people to be able to walk independently following the yellow line. The installation of guiding blocks must be correct considering that each texture that appears on the blocks has its own meaning. In general, there are two types of guiding blocks, namely lines (line type) and dots (spot type).

For the long line means to show the visually impaired to go on. Meanwhile, the type of the dots is a stop or there are obstacles and turns ahead.
