What to Do If You Put the Wrong Fuel in a Car

The error is usually when a diesel-fueled car is filled with gasoline, or sometimes vice versa. If you have filled the wrong fuel, you don't need to worry, because there is still a solution. Leave your engine switched off and avoid putting your key in the ignition. Do not start the vehicle engine and immediately drain the fuel.

Your fuel tank needs to be drained before you drive the car. The petrol will act as a solvent, damaging the fuel pump and other parts of the fuel system. If left unchecked, this could mean a costly repair of your car's fuel system, or a complete replacement of the fuel pump, diesel injectors, filters and fuel tank.

Sahabat Insurance Donates to Flood and Landslide Victims in Aceh and Sumatra

Medan, December 15, 2025 — Sahabat Insurance has distributed humanitarian financial assistance to communities affected by floods and landslides in Aceh Province, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. The aid was channeled through YAKOPI (Indonesian Coastal Conservation Foundation), a Medan-based humanitarian organization.
